hdiutil create -srcfolder /Users/lively/Desktop/untitled\ folder/ /
tmp/junk.dmg
worked for me
as did
do shell script "hdiutil create -srcfolder /Users/lively/Desktop/
untitled\\ folder/ /tmp/junk2.dmg"
Surreally though...
Mark-Livelys-Computer:~ lively$ ls -la /tmp/
total 312
drwxrwxrwt 13 root wheel 442 Jan 16 09:18 .
drwxr-xr-x 6 root wheel 204 Jan 11 07:58 ..
-rw-r--r-- 1 lively wheel 69080 Jan 16 09:18 junk.dmg
