Hello Claire:

We are very happy with our Samsung SV-5000W VCR from the World Gift Center
(http://www.world-import.com/sv5000.htm) Cost is around $ 350, and it is
good for day-to-day conversions.

They also offer a variety of higher quality conversion-VCRs-sets for more
money at http://www.world-import.com/converter-vcr.htm

Check it out! Best regards, Jorg
