>Subject: MAALLT Spring '01 Conference: Call for Proposals
>In-Reply-To: <[log in to unmask]>
------------------
Call for Proposals
The Mid-Atlantic Association of Language Learning Technologies (formerly
the Mid-Atlantic Association of Language Laboratory Directors) is pleased
to announce that its next annual conference will be held April 6-7, 2001 on
the campus of Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. The theme of this
year's conference is "Language Instruction in the Digital Age". We plan a
program of sessions and workshops that will be of interest to foreign
language and ESL educators (K-16) as well as language technology specialists.
We are currently soliciting proposals for sessions. Proposals will be
accepted through December 18, 2000, and preliminary program information
will be available in January 2001. For guidelines about submitting
proposals, see our Web site at: http://www.duke.edu/~ssearp/maallt2001/
Our conference last spring was a wonderful gathering of concerned and
energetic individuals from all walks of education. We hope to offer the
same intimate, collegial atmosphere at Duke next spring!
Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to seeing you in Durham
next spring!
