>Subject: culturally appropriate graphics
Hello,
We're in need of copyright-free images of all sorts (jpg and gif) for
use in developing materials for use with our new CAN8 system. I'm aware
of the many Web sites with free images but was wondering if anyone had a
particularly good source for international images. We want our images
to be culturally relevant/ appropriate. For example, if we're doing a
unit on holidays (Christmas)I don't want to use the U.S. version of
Santa in the exercises. These don't necessarily need to be free, nor do
they need to be available via the Web (e.g., we would pay for a CD).
TIA,
Carine
