>Subject: "Gloss" feature in word processing
My lab has been happily using Nisus Writer on the Mac for five years
now, spurred by the request from our Japanese teacher that I find him
a word processor with a feature common to word processors in Japan,
which would allow him to put the Katakana or Hiragana pronunciation
of a Kanji character above it. This "gloss" feature has subsequently
become a very useful feature for our other language teachers,
especially Latin and Greek.
Here's the problem: I am being pressured to change to a Windows
environment, and I simply don't know if this feature is available on
any Windows-compatible word processors. Can anyone make any
suggestions?
Many thanks!
