While in Orchard Beach, ME with my granddaughter earlier this week, I
thought I saw ground doves, considerably smaller than morning doves, browner
backs, with white spots on the corners of their tails. They were behind the
Waves Motel, on the
parking lot side of the dunes. Orchard Beach is just south of Portland.
Has anyone heard of ground doves being that far north?
