International Migratory Bird Day!

Come join VINS in celebrating International Migratory Bird Day on May 
12.  The daylong event will feature activities, games, and crafts 
that highlight the challenges migratory birds face during their 
trans-continental travels.  Discover the connection between your 
daily cup of coffee and the health of migratory bird

IMBD Scheduled Program & Activities:

10:30am-         Bird Banding Demonstration and Bird Identification 
Workshop  (for 2007 Birdathon participants)

11:30am-         Winged Wonders: Live Raptor Program

12:30pm-         VINS Conservation Biologist Chris Rimmer to speak on 
Bicknell's Thrush migration and the species' conservation issues

12:30-3pm-      Migration Stations- hands-on activities for all 
ages:  Roving Raptors, Obstacle Course, Discovery Depots, Photo with 
a Raptor, Crafts, and Games

3:30pm-           Raptors Up Close:  Get up-close and personal with 
live raptors as you learn about their behavior and biology
