Just stopped briefly at Icehouse Rd. on Mascoma Lake to check on recently mounted bluebird boxes. Not much activity in the field, but out over the lake watched an Osprey circling and hovering over the shallow end of lake. It suddenly dropped down into the water and came up with a small fish in each foot, a double fisted success. It was quite an event to witness, made standing in the cold rain seem not so silly.
