So I’m passing this on just in case someone else might have seen or heard about a sighting. Thanks,Margaret

"I was driving back from Norwich Sunday afternoon and saw a small, dark goose-like waterfowl with a distinctive white neck marking. It was very striking to me given how goose-necked it was and yet was significantly smaller than a Canada goose. After searching images, I am thinking that it was a Brant Goose. I checked eBird to see if there had been sightings recently. I didn’t see any but noted your name and wonder if you have heard anything? Are there other local forums where such a sighting might have been reported?

Was hoping to get some form of confirmation before a friend made the drive from Addison county to come hunt for it....

If you are interested it was in that setback just north of the ompompanoosuc on rte 5 where someone has had a semi permanent campsite/trailer/pallet pile situation growing over the past couple years. "
