This is a reminder that the next Windsor County Birding Quest bird
walk is to be held from 7:30 to 10:30 AM on Saturday August 25, 2012,
at Lake Runnemede in Windsor, VT (road and carpooling instructions
below). George Clark is to lead. This walk is free and open to the
public. Participants should be prepared to walk as much as two miles
over uneven terrain. Bring binoculars and scopes if available. We'll
be particularly seeking fall migrant landbirds. If there is sufficient
time, we might also visit another location in Windsor that morning.

Road and carpooling instructions: From Exit 9 off I-91, turn south on
Route 5 towards Windsor. After going about 3 miles southward on Route
5, look for the Back Forty guns and ammo store on the left, with a
Price Chopper supermarket just beyond, also on the left. This walk
will begin at 7:30 AM by the entrance to a long driveway directly
across Route 5 from the Back Forty store. Please do not drive into
that driveway, vehicular use of which is reserved for local residents.
Parking is available along Route 5, but be sure your site is legal.

Carpoolers from towns around the Hanover/Norwich area are to leave
from the River Road commuter parking lot in Norwich by the Ledyard
Bridge at 7:00 AM that morning.
