This is New Hampshire Audubon's Rare Bird Alert for Thursday, June 7th, 
2007.


A KENTUCKY WARBLER was discovered near a private residence on Route 107 in 
Kensington on June 2nd and was last reported there on the 5th. It was not 
relocated on the 6th, despite persistent searching, and it may have moved 
on. A possible HOODED WARBLER was reported from the same location on June 
3rd, but was not relocated.



2 AMERICAN OYSTERCATCHERS and a VIRGINIA RAIL were seen on the Isles of 
Shoals on June 1st.



A MANX SHEARWATER, a LAUGING GULL, 2 ROSEATE TERNS and a BLACK GUILLEMOT 
were seen flying along the coast on June 3rd.



A SANDHILL CRANE was reported from a wetland in Monroe on June 6th.



20 BRANT were seen at Moore Reservoir in Littleton on June 6th and 2 were 
reported from Hampton on May 31st.



5 PURPLE SANDPIPERS, 3 LONG-TAILED DUCKS, and a GREAT CORMORANT were all 
seen from Great Boar's Head in Hampton on June 1st.



A BLUE-WINGED TEAL was reported from Meadow Pond in Hampton on June 3rd.



A breeding plumaged HORNED GREBE was seen just north of the town line cove 
in Rye on June 3rd.



75 BLACK SCOTERS, 50 SURF SCOTERS and 25 WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS were seen 
along the coast, mainly off of North Beach in Hampton on May 31st. A flock 
of 50 WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS was reported from near White Island, one of the 
Isles of Shoals, on June 1st.



A flock of 140 SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERS was reported from Hampton on May 
31st. Small numbers of other shorebirds were reported along the coast during 
the past week including BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER, SEMIPALMATED PLOVER, DUNLIN, 
RUDDY TURNSTONE, LEAST SANDPIPER, and WILLET.



An UPLAND SANDPIPER was seen at the Pease International Tradeport on June 
5th.



A YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO was heard on Hickory Lane in Kensington on June 5th, 
and one was seen in Epping, along Mast Road, approximately one-half mile 
south of Route 87, on May 31st.



2 BICKNELL'S THRUSHES, as well as several GRAY JAYS and BOREAL CHICKADEES 
were reported from the Caps Ridge Trail in Jefferson Notch on June 6th.



2 BICKNELL'S THRUSHES, 10 WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS, and a BOREAL CHICKADEE 
were reported from near the summit of Mt Cushman in Woodstock on June 2nd.



6 COMMON NIGHTHAWKS were reported from Rumney on June 4th.



4 EVENING GROSBEAKS were reported from Rumney on June 1st, and 2 were 
reported from Marlborough on May 31st.



Several CLIFF SWALLOWS were reported from Hilton Park at Dover Point in 
Dover on June 5th.



A MOURNING WARBLER and several YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHERS were reported from 
coastal locations on June 3rd.



An ORCHARD ORIOLE and several BLUE-WINGED WARBLERS were reported from the 
Bellamy River Wildlife Management Area in Dover on June 2nd.
