This is New Hampshire Audubon's Rare Bird Alert for Monday, November 19th, 
2018.



A WESTERN TANAGER was photographed at a private residence in Pembroke on 
November 11th, but has not been seen again.



A YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT continues to be seen at Odiorne Point State Park in 
Rye, and was last reported on November 18th.



An ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER was seen at Odiorne Point State Park in Rye on 
November 16th.



3 SANDHILL CRANES were seen at Pinch Hill Road in Rollinsford on November 
16th, and a flock of 10 was seen flying over Hampstead on the 18th.



A BARNACLE GOOSE was seen migrating south along the coast on November 12th.



A CACKLING GOOSE was seen in Plaistow and 1 was seen in Hollis, both with 
flocks of CANADA GEESE, on November 15th. A SNOW GOOSE was seen along Route 
1A in North Hampton on November 18th.



A male BARROW’S GOLDENEYE was seen on the Androscoggin River in Errol on 
November 17th.



5 AMERICAN COOTS, a LESSER SCAUP, and 14 BUFFLEHEADS were seen at Eel Pond 
in Rye on November 18th, and a BLUE-WINGED TEAL was seen here on the 15th.



A LONG-TAILED DUCK was seen on North River Lake in Barrington on November 
16th. A RED-NECKED GREBE, 2 GREATER SCAUP, and 3 BLACK SCOTERS were seen at 
the Moore Reservoir in Littleton on November 17th.



At least 7 RAZORBILLS were seen along the coast during the past week.



A flock of 150 BOHEMIAN WAXWINGS was seen near the Dunkin Donuts in Berlin 
on November 15th.



6 PINE GROSBEAKS were seen in Jefferson on November 12th, and 1 was reported 
from Penacook on the 18th. A RED CROSSBILL was reported from Peterborough on 
November 16th.



COMMON REDPOLLS, EVENING GROSBEAKS and PINE SISKINS were reported from 
scattered locations during the past week and sightings seem to be increasing 
in number.



A BOREAL CHICKADEE continues to be seen on Pack Monadnock in Peterborough, 
and was last reported on November 13th.



A GREAT EGRET was seen along the coast on several days during the past week.



Lingering shorebirds seen during the past week included: BLACK-BELLIED 
PLOVER, SANDERLING, DUNLIN, and LESSER YELLOWLEGS.



Lingering migrant warbler species reported during the past week included: 
YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER, BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER, COMMON YELLOWTHROAT, and 
PALM WARBLER.



Lingering migrant sparrow species reported during the past week included: 
CHIPPING SPARROW, LINCOLN’S SPARROW, SAVANNAH SPARROW, WHITE-CROWNED 
SPARROW, and FOX SPARROW.



A BALTIMORE ORIOLE was seen in Seabrook on November 18th, and 1 was reported 
from Plymouth on the 15th. Other late-migrant species seen during the past 
week included: YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER, RUBY-CROWNED KINGLET, GRAY CATBIRD, 
HERMIT THRUSH, INDIGO BUNTING, BROWN THRASHER, and BROWN-HEADED COWBIRD.



21 migrating GOLDEN EAGLES have been seen from Pack Monadnock in 
Peterborough so far this season, and 1 was seen migrating over Rollinsford 
on November 16th.

RAPTOR migration monitoring at the Pack Monadnock Raptor Migration 
Observatory in Peterborough is coming to an end on November 20th Pack 
Monadnock has tallied over 8,800 raptors since September 1st. The majority 
of the raptors that were seen this fall-season were BROAD-WINGED HAWKS, but 
over 175 BALD EAGLES, and 2 ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS have also been seen.
