This afternoon (Feb. 17), about 1:15 PM, roughly 150 Bohemian Waxwings were
perched in and near the tops of trees, as well as flying about, along Hopson
Road close to its intersection with Brookside Lane in Norwich. At least one
Cedar Waxwing was with the Bohemians. While the Bohemians were there, for
several minutes, vocalization was continuous from the flock. No feeding was
seen.  On their departure, at least some of the birds flew off in the direction
of the Hillside Cemetery.

I have not seen waxwing flocks at this location earlier this winter. Presumably
that spot was for this afternoon a temporary gathering place for a flock on the
move.
