For those who remember my 11 years of walking around Mascoma Lake, what
certainly has to be my best "lying in bed" bird was a Cerulean Warbler
outside my apartment building along Route 4 in Enfield. As I lied in bed, I
heard an usual song out the open window (this was late June) and thought
"That's either a Cerulean or an odd-sounding Black-throated Blue - neither
of which should be in my yard in late June." I got up, dressed, and headed
outside to find the male Cerulean singing away in an old aspen. What was
equally amazing was refinding thre (presumably) same bird a week later down
by the Mascoma Lake dam.

now in Concord, NH
