George,

I had a great egret in stalking in the shallows of Lake Champlain's South Bay, Dresden, NY, on 16 August. The bird was on The Saddles side of the Bay (east side) and was visible all day. Also, immature bald eagle, osprey, peregrine, a pair of noisy great blues, and flocks of red-winged blackbirds in the marshes.
