Here are photos of a female Green-winged Teal seen today at Kendal Station
Road in Norwich. It was with a group of resident mallards. Apparently very
rare at this time of year in Vermont.

There is also a peculiar hybrid there, that I called a black duck hybrid,
but it isn't really clear what it is. One person thinks it's a leucistic
black duck.  That makes sense to me. Seen several times with the resident
mallards:

The smaller mallard-like duck is a mystery to me- maybe someone can
identify it?
