This is New Hampshire Audubon's Rare Bird Alert for Thursday, August 30th, 
2007.

A BLACK TERN was seen in Pittsburg on the Connecticut River just north of 
Deer Mountain campground on August 25th, and one was seen on Powdermill Pond 
in Hancock on August 23rd.



A FORSTER'S TERN and 3 ROSEATE TERNS were seen in Hampton Harbor on August 
24th.



A BAIRD'S SANDPIPER, 51 SNOWY EGRETS, 4 GREAT EGRETS, 29 GREATER YELLOWLEGS, 
and numerous "peeps" were seen in the marshes along Route 1A located just 
south of Rye Harbor on August 28th. A LITTLE BLUE HERON was seen here on 
August 23rd.



A WESTERN SANDPIPER was seen in Henry's Pool in Hampton on August 26th.



7 STILT SANDPIPERS and 2 BLUE-WINGED TEAL were seen in Meadow Pond in 
Hampton on August 24th



A RED KNOT was seen in Meadow Pond in Hampton on August 23rd and 24th.



2 HUDSONIAN GODWITS were seen in Hampton Harbor on August 26th.



7 WHIMBRELS and a WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER were seen in Hampton Harbor on 
August 24th.



6 UPLAND SANDPIPERS were seen at the Pease Airport in Portsmouth, and one 
was seen at Horseshoe Pond in Concord, all on August 28th.



2 NORTHERN SHOVELERS were seen at the Exeter Waste Water Treatment Plant on 
August 23rd.



A breeding plumage HORNED GREBE continues to be reported from Foss Beach in 
Rye and was last reported on August 28th.



6 RUDDY TURNSTONES and 5 LAUGHING GULLS were seen along the coast on August 
24th.



COMMON NIGHTHAWKS are migrating and there have been many reports during the 
past week from multiple locations with the highest counts being over 700 
from Concord on August 29th, and 400 on the 28th and 365 on the 27th from 
Powdermill Pond in Hancock.



A TENNESSEE WARBLER was reported from Sutton on August 28th and one was seen 
at Scott's Bog in Pittsburg on August 25th.



A CAPE MAY WARBLER was seen along Route 26 near Dixville Notch in Colebrook 
on August 25th.
