1 adult male common merganser on the river approaching Campbell Flats and a pair of hooded mergansers just west of the thruway overpass.

The CT river ice is out from just south of the bridge to Lyme, but saw nothing there.

Two Canada geese flying south over the river matched my car speed of about 50-52 for about a minute before they veered west.
