Beaver Pond, Tigertown Rd. Norwich:
4/21/09 Yellow-Rumped Warbler
Hawk-probably Red-Tail (photo here if you want to i.d.)

4/25/09  Great Blue Heron
Wood Duck-pair
(Hooded Mergansers are still there-2 pairs plus 4 Canada Geese)
Canada Geese like to sit (nest?) on top of the Beaver Lodge.
Frogs are in full chorus
Note: there are 3 lodges on this Pond now.

Northern Flicker-female Yellow-shafted-have not seen a flicker here for
several years

Rose-Breasted Grosbeak-pair
Male Rose-B was eating suet- not seen before.
White-Throated Sparrows-small flock-5-6 singing
4/28/09 Wood Thrush singing-1
Black-Throated Green Warbler -1

Barred Owls very noisy at dusk
Evening Grosbeak-flock of 8 Noisy!
Pine Siskins-4-5 stiil here. Are they going to stay???

Red-Breasted Nuthatches-2
White-Breasted Nuthatches 2
Robins 3-4 singing

Purple Finch 4-5
Goldfinch 4-6
Cowbird (heard)
AND
pregnant Red Squirrel(!)
Chipmunks
Hepatica
Trout Lily
Yellow Violet
Bellwort
