Lately the chorus has really warmed up here, most mornings. They include:

Hermit Thrush-solos and duets
American Robins -mostly solo
Red-eyed Vireo-one faint echo, mostly solo (NEW last week)
Evening Grosbeaks-7 or 8-a lot of noise-hard to think of it as "song", but I
suppose it is.
Goldfinches-large flock-much twittering and song
Chickadees-2-3 songs
Yellow-bellied Sapsuckers-probably 3-4-much rapping, chasing and "talk"
Same with Hairys and Downys
Phoebes- at least one pair-often singing and twittering
Juncoes= flock of 6=12- some singing
White-throated Sparrow-one duet, occasional solo
Mourning Doves-5-6 much cooing and mating behavior
Red and White Breasted Nuthatches at least one pair of each- some "yanking"
Barred Owls-variety of calls, even some daytime

Meanwhile, down at the beaver pond:

2 mated pairs Hooded Mergansers
NEW arrival-another male Hoodie. Dramatic arguing over females and territory
NEW also- a Green Heron. Never seen one there before.
And the usual Geese and and Mallards.
