Beaver have continued to build dams across a network of streams feeding Coyote
Hollow. The raised water, higher than I've seen it in 13 years, has lured swamp
sparrows back to the flooded marsh. Three singing males on 4/27 were the first
I've seen or heard there in eight years. Americans bitterns are back over a week
(no calling, yet). Marsh wrens have not returned (it's been 12 years), but with
the high water I'm hopeful.

15+ tree swallows
  2 bank swallows
