Peter and I took a drive down Stevens Rd this afternoon about 5 pm and saw a single male Eastern meadowlark about midway down the road; so at least one is still there.  He was some distance away from the road on the Interstate side sitting on the ground. Though he was not singing, the yellow and black breast pattern was strikingly obvious.....beautiful!
