I thought I heard a great horned owl a couple of times last summer up
in the forest behind our house. Never saw it. And wasn't completely
sure of it's hoot noises. It sure wasn't any of the owls I was
familiar with (barred, screech, saw-whet).

Have seen some barred owls, and heard, as they make a regular ruckus
along the edges of our meadow some nights.

Also have heard saw-whets here.
