Mary,

American bitterns have returned to Coyote Hollow, Thetford Center. First
sighting 4/22.

Also, four pairs of hooded mergansers, a pair of ring-necked ducks, 2 pairs of
mallards, 2 pair of wood ducks, and a pair Canada geese, all tooling around the
open water.

Last year, a pair of hooded mergs nested and reared 5 chicks.
