I have the typical hummingbird feeder - glass jar above and flower-like dispenser below. It is hung from a limb on our big crab apple tree. When I retrieve it to refill it, the bottom is full of (mostly dead) ants. Maybe the hummers don’t care, but I do. Is there a way you have found to prevent ants from invading the feeder?
