Two hermit thrushes were in our yard near the edge of the woods yesterday,
scratching around. At first I thought fox sparrow or veery, but as we got a
good look from an upstairs window, the tail was definitely redder than the rest
of the body, and it had a clear eye-ring.

I heard them early this morning but it was still too dark to see anything.
