The Mascoma Chapter of New Hampshire Audubon is to be holding bird
walks in July, August, and September of 2012. These walks are free and
open to the public. Participants should bring binoculars and scopes if
available.
From 7:00 to 10:00 AM on Saturday July 28, I'll lead a bird walk
along River Road in Hanover and Lyme, NH. Participants are to meet at
7 AM in the Dartmouth Printing Company Parking Lot on Route 10 in
Hanover and from there carpool on to River Road with a stop at
Wilson's Landing on the way. We'll be looking in the vicinity of the
Connecticut River for summer nesting birds and their young as well as
any early fall migrants.
Other upcoming walks include a walk originating in Norwich on the
morning of Saturday August 18 and a rescheduled walk at Bedell Bridge
State Park in Orford on the morning of Saturday September 29.
