We were hand watering our flowers in front of the stand yesterday. The momma Killdeer was making a fuss as usual so I glanced over at the nest and lo and behold there were 3 hatched Killdeers and one egg. I went to get my phone to record this momentous event and within 5 minutes, there was the 4th. We continued watering, away from the nest, and the parents quieted down. About half and hour later, out came the 4 little guys snuggling close to their parents.

The farm trails are all mowed and welcoming. “Warbler Way” and “Indigo Junction” are living up to their names. You are all welcome to visit, watch and mostly listen. Please park out back where the barn is located and not at the stand as it is open with strawberries, tomatoes and cucumbers etc.
You might catch a glimpse of these little guys wandering amongst the flowers.
