We all know that birds love our birdbaths for bathing and that they take dust baths as well. When I was in Florida north of Tampa we had no rain for 5 weeks. One morning I noticed a female No. Cardinal fly into a bunch of leaves high in a tree. She then want to another clump nearby. When she emerged, she was quite damp from the morning dew and preened.
A first for me.
