I had my first visit from a bear last night around 10pm. He came up on the deck and was sitting 5 feet from the front door, taking a bite out of a corn roll that was in the squirrel feeder. The bird feeders were empty, but he knocked over the can which contained some old seed. He stayed on the deck for about 15 minutes. Beautiful creature - first one I've ever seen 'in the wild'.

I know they're really on the move looking for food now. Will I be able to feed the birds this summer?
