In late afternoon the bird was seen flying off from the cow pasture area west of Route 5 in the direction of the north end of the larger pond across the road. A subsequent search by 4 observers in the Kendall Station Road area and at Pompy did not find the bird which might well, however, still be in the area.

A Great Blue Heron was at Pompy.
