Thank you, C. Holland and W. Scott.  We were actually watching the flock of gulls in yesterday’s post, but very far away for us, thought the one “outlier” (slighlty bigger, more black head) might have been a loon.  Nope.  Little Gull.  Bonaparte’s too. Pretty special, think of their journeys.

This morning, at least 6 female red-winged blackbirds just arrived to join the 2 males who have been here a couple wks - so much singing now.  Many years ago, Vermont relatives said they were saying “Purple G….Purple G….”
