This is New Hampshire Audubon's Rare Bird Alert for Monday, June 4th, 2018.
3 MISSISSIPPI KITES were seen along Madbury Road near the town library in
Durham on June 2nd.
2 SANDHILL CRANES were photographed at Dead Pond near North Mountain in
Pawtuckaway State Park in Nottingham on June 3rd, and there was an
unconfirmed report of a SANDHILL CRANE in Sunapee on May 31st.
An AMERICAN OYSTERCATCHER was seen along the coast on May 30th.
3 PIPING PLOVERS were seen at Hampton Beach State Park on June 3rd.
8 LEAST TERNS were seen on Seabrook Beach on June 2nd.
A BLACK GUILLEMOT was seen in Rye Harbor on June 2nd.
A COMMON EIDER was seen at Long Pond in Lempster on June 3rd.
A LONG-TAILED DUCK and a RED-THROATED LOON were seen in coastal Rye on May
29th.
A NELSON'S SPARROW was reported from the pools on the west side of Route 1A
just south of Odiorne Point State Park in Rye on June 3rd, and 2 SALTMARSH
SPARROWS were reported from Lubberland Creek in Newmarket on June 2nd.
6 GRASSHOPPER SPARROWS were reported from near Walmart in Hinsdale on May
30th, 5 were reported from the Concord Airport on June 1st, and 3 were
reported from the Cemetery Fields in Amherst on June 2nd.
A FOX SPARROW was reported from the summit of Mount Pierce in the White
Mountains on June 3rd.
5 RED CROSSBILLS were reported from Mount Monadnock on June 3rd.
Several RED CROSSBILLS and WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS, and a pair of RUSTY
BLACKBIRDS were reported from Pittsburg on June 2nd.
3 EVENING GROSBEAKS were seen at a private residence in Keene on June 2nd.
2 COMMON NIGHTHAWKS were reported from Plymouth on June 2nd, and 1 was
reported from Richmond on May 30th.
A YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER was seen at Odiorne Point State Park in Rye on
June 2nd, and an OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER was reported from Perch Pond in
Holderness on June 1st.
YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOOS and BLACK-BILLED CUCKOOS were reported from NH Audubon’s
Brookside Sanctuary in South Hampton on June 3rd.
