Hi

I banded a Barred Owl on Xmas eve in the backyard. Got a message from the banding lab that someone has reported an encounter with the bird, reporting the band#. I'm not up to date on the winter territory of the Barred Owl, but I would have to guess the encounter was nearby. Anyone heard of such a local encounter? Often they are hurt or found dead! It's nice to get the details. Thanks
