I'm in Warren NH and I too have been expressing the same concerns about the dearth of birds for several weeks now and particularly the past few days. However, this evening I had lots of visitors - not to the feeders but to the apple trees, grape vines and bushes. Flock of yellow-rumped warblers (~10), flock of robins eating worms, several mourning doves, a white breasted nuthatch, blue jays, crows, hairy woodpecker, 2 phoebes, and one chickadee. Quite active - in comparison to the last 2 evenings.
