Despite getting soaked in the rain, I had a good hour of birding at the 
Wilder boat access this afternoon.  This should be a good spot over the 
next month, especially for sparrows.  Thickets around the parking area 
and under the power line are laden with fruit.  Scanning the river from 
the concrete abutment on the point could be productive once the 
waterfowl migration gets going.  Highlights today:
