Over the long weekend there were large flocks of gold finches and house finches feeding in our yard. They were accompanied by tufted titmice, hairy and downy woodpeckers, chickadees, juncos, blue jays, cardinals, white breasted nuthatch and mourning doves. Not a single red breasted nuthatch among them. We also had daily visits from the flock of Wild Turkeys, the size of the most recent visit having swelled to 39 of them! Quite the sight wandering through our yard and into the woods beyond.
