There ain't nothing like a little competition to enhance our audial
enjoyment.
On a hot birding tip from fellow birder Donald Graham... I headed to the UVD
Mystery Trail this am...
I drove in... to the My Tr head, by the bridge. Nice birds around:
GBHe flew overhead, HoMe chick, YbSapsucker, EaKingbird, EaPh, AlderFl,
ReVi, Veerys, GrCa, CoYellowthr, CsWa, Oven, Song,Swamp and Wh-thr Sparrows
and the 2 Male Marsh Wrens !
Had a good look at one. These are the first MaWr's I have observed/heard
there over the many years I have birded there. Always wondered why they
weren't there. Maybe there is a surplus this year ? Maybe these are
"already mated" males ?
So if ya wanna hear some lovely (competitive) singing.. check out the UVD
MyTrail pond.
