I just walked out on the patio, coffee in hand, turned on Merlin for confirmation and heard Song Sparrow, Chickadee, Crow, Carolina Wren, Pileated Woodpecker, Cardinal, Robin, Goldfinch, Pine Siskin, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Blue Jay, Merlin, and Pine Warbler all in the space of a cup of coffee. Now Merlin thought it heard a Mocking bird. I was suspicious. A short walk revealed that the Brown Thrasher has returned. Pine Warbler is a first for this spring too.
With my second cup of coffee in hand, I just heard Bluebird, Tufted Titmouse and Killdeer. I am happy to see the return of a few Killdeer. But I am sure the Merlin is pleased as well.
