I witnessed my first warbler wave through our backyard here in Enfield this morning. From my kitchen window, I identified a black and white, a blackburnian, a female Canada (faint but distinct necklace on bright yellow breast), and a parula. There were probably others, but those gave me good looks. Also mixed in were chickadees and a red-eyed vireo. Not bad for just standing at my window! (:
Our pagoda dogwoods are also covered with ripe berries and are a great attraction for robins, vireos, waxwings, and I even saw a flicker grabbing berries the other day!
Love this time of year!
