On Saturday September 24, starting at 7:30 AM, Windsor County 2016 Birding Quest is to hold a bird walk In Norwich and perhaps Hartford if time allows. 
This walk is free and open to the public. Chris Rimmer and George Clark will be among the leaders. Please bring binoculars and scopes if available, and be prepared to walk over level but uneven and likely damp terrain for as much as a mile. We'll be looking especially for fall migrant birds of all kinds. 
 
We'll meet at 7:30 AM in the parking lot on River Road in Norwich by the Ledyard Bridge. (From Route 10A in Norwich, turn north onto River Road and then take an immediate left turn into the unpaved lot. We'll carpool from there. We plan to return to that lot by 10:30 AM.) 
 
If coming from Hanover, cross the Ledyard Bridge, take the first right turn onto River Road and then an immediate left into the parking lot.
