2012.



A male HARLEQUIN DUCK was seen off of Little Boars Head in North Hampton on 
April 7th.



A LESSER BLACK-BACKED GULL was seen in coastal Rye on April 7th.



An ICELAND GULL was reported from Manchester on April 6th.



2 NORTHERN SHOVELERS and an AMERICAN COOT were seen at the Exeter Wastewater 
Treatment Plant on April 7th.



3 BRANT were reported from coastal Hampton on April 9th.



A SNOWY EGRET was seen in Rye on April 7th.



3 PIED-BILLED GREBES were seen in Eel Pond in Rye on April 7th, and a 
PIED-BILLED GREBE was seen at Turtle Pond in Concord on April 6th.



7 WILSON'S SNIPE and 5 FISH CROWS were reported from the fields located 
behind the U.S. Post Office on Loudon Road in Concord on April 7th.



2 FISH CROWS were seen at Hampton Beach on April 7th.



5 LESSER SCAUP were seen on Mill Pond, and 3 FISH CROWS were reported from 
the UNH campus, all in Durham on April 11th.



3 VIRGINIA RAILS were reported from Portsmouth on April 7th.



2 PIPING PLOVERS, 257 PURPLE SANDPIPERS, and a BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER were 
reported from the seacoast on April 7th.



A MERLIN was reported from Greenland on April 7th, and a pair was reported 
from the Hanover Golf Course during the past week.



130 TREE SWALLOWS were seen at Turtle Pond, and 90 were seen at Hoit Marsh, 
all in Concord on April 7th.



An AMERICAN WIGEON and 9 BUFFLEHEADS were seen on Spofford Lake in 
Chesterfield on April 7th.



72 RING-NECKED DUCKS and 8 BUFFLEHEADS were seen on Cherry Pond in Jefferson 
on April 8th.



An OVENBIRD that was discovered in the yard of a private residence in Derry 
on December 31st, continues to be seen and was last reported on April 7th.



A pair of EVENING GROSBEAKS was reported from Peterborough on April 9th, and 
a pair was reported from Warner on the 8th.



Returning spring migrant species reported during the past week included 
OSPREY, NORTHERN HARRIER, BROAD-WINGED HAWK, RED-SHOULDERED HAWK, COMMON 
LOON, EASTERN PHOEBE, NORTHERN FLICKER, YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER, FIELD 
SPARROW, FOX SPARROW, CHIPPING SPARROW, and EASTERN TOWHEE.



A pair of PEREGRINE FALCONS is nesting in Manchester and has already begun
