This is New Hampshire Audubon's Rare Bird Alert for Tuesday, June 12th, 
2012.



A male BLUE GROSBEAK was seen in Nashua on June 12th at the landfill at 840 
West Hollis Street. The landfill is not open to birders, but the BLUE 
GROSBEAK may possibly be seen nearby as it has only been seen infrequently 
at the landfill.



A WILSON'S PHALAROPE was seen in Derry on June 7th, but has not been 
reported again since then.



A male RUDDY DUCK was seen in Powderhouse Pond in Exeter on June 9th.



2 BICKNELL'S THRUSHES were reported from the Fourth Connecticut Lake on June 
10th.



Several BICKNELL'S THRUSHES, a FOX SPARROW, a MOURNING WARBLER, a 
BLACK-BACKD WOODPECKER, and a BOREAL CHICKADEE were all reported from the 
Caps Ridge Trail between the parking lot and the "pothole rocks" located 
about 1-mile up the trail, during the past week.



A SPRUCE GROUSE, a BLACK-BACKED WOODPECKER, an OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER, 7 
YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHERS, a PHILADELPHIA VIREO, 12 GRAY JAYS, 14 BOREAL 
CHICKADEES, 7 MOURNING WARBLERS, 6 BAY-BREASTED WARBLERS, a PALM WARBLER, a 
WILSON'S WARBLER, an EVENING GROSBEAK, and 8 WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS were 
reported from Pittsburg, mainly on East Inlet Road and Scott's Bog Road, on 
June 9th, 10th, and 11th.



5 WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS were seen in Pittsfield on June 9th.



4 EVENING GROSBEAKS were reported from Strafford on June 12th.



A PALM WARBLER was seen along Huntress Bridge Road in Effingham on June 7th.



A NELSON'S SPARROW was seen at Odiorne Point State Park in Rye on June 10th.



A WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW and a MOURNING WARBLER were both seen at the Church 
Street parking lot in Hampton on June 10th.



A BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO was reported from Whitefield, 1 was reported from 
Etna, and 1 was reported from Freedom, all during the past week



A WILSON'S SNIPE was seen at Elm Brook Park in Hopkinton on June 7th



A PEREGRINE FALCON was seen in Concord on June 7th.



6 PURPLE MARTINS were seen at the FunSpot in Laconia on June 6th, and a 
PURPLE MARTIN was seen in Seabrook on June 10th.



An ORCHARD ORIOLE was reported from Nashua on June 9th.



A PIED-BILLED GREBE was reported from the Deer Hill Wildlife Management Area 
on June 10th.



5 ROSEATE TERNS were reported from coastal Rye on June 10th.



A NH Audubon sponsored pelagic bird trip aboard the "Granite State" out of 
Rye Harbor reported numerous birds. The boat cruised in New Hampshire and 
Maine waters, and passed close to the Isles of Shoals. Highlights included: 
2 NORTHERN FULMARS, 6 SOOTY SHEARWATERS, 3 WILSON'S STORM-PETRELS, 36 
NORTHERN GANNETS, a GREAT CORMORANT, 4 RUDDY TURNSTONES, 5 RED-NECKED 
PHALAROPES, a LAUGHING GULL, several ROSEATE TERNS, numerous COMMON TERNS, a 
PARASITIC JAEGER, 13 BLACK GUILLEMOTS, and a SUMMER TANAGER
