An exciting afternoon yesterday (Sunday): an eastern phoebe in my yard in residential Hanover, an American kestral on Stevens Rd. in E. Thetford, and a car-stopping show of two bald eagles fishing on the CT River just south of the Pomp R. A mature and an immature were flying low, back and forth, up and down the river. I watched a few swoops, but they came up empty-taloned each time.
