This morning at Silver Lake in Barnard there were 14 Horned Grebes, 2 Red-necked Grebes, and nearly a hundred swallows including [mostly] tree, barn and one bank. Given the weather, I imagine this could be a productive day at other area lakes, such as Lake Morey, where spring swallows can number in the hundreds. Maybe I'll see you there!
