This is New Hampshire Audubon's Rare Bird Alert for Monday, May 30th, 2016.



A EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVE was seen in East Kingston on May 25th, but has not 
been relocated.



A female BLUE GROSBEAK was seen in Seabrook on May 28th.



A LARK SPARROW was reported from Star Island, one of the Isles of Shoals, on 
May 26th, and a KING EIDER was seen off of Star Island on the 23rd.



5 MISSISSIPPI KITES were seen in Newmarket on May 28th.



A BLACK VULTURE was seen soaring over Candia on May 26th.



A pair of SANDHILL CRANES has returned to Monroe and they were most recently 
seen on May 29th. The birds are most often seen in farm fields along Plains 
Road. If you look for the birds, please look from the road and do not enter 
the fields.



2 PACIFIC LOONS were seen off of the coast of North Hampton on May 30th. 
Also seen were 4 RED-THROATED LOONS and 15 COMMON LOONS.



A MANX SHEARWATER was seen along the coast in North Hampton on May 30th, and 
a SOOTY SHEARWATER was seen along the coast in Rye on May 29th.



A PARASITIC JAEGER and a BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKE were seen along the coast on 
May 28th.



A TRICOLORED HERON was seen along Route 1A just beyond the north side of 
Odiorne Point State Park in Rye, on May 29th.



A flock of 20 GLOSSY IBIS were seen along the coast on May 30th.



A COMMON GALLINULE was seen at Airport Marsh on Hazen Road in Whitefield on 
May 20th. 21st, and 22nd, and was last reported on the 27th. A possible 
NELSON’S SPARROW was reported here on May 25th.



An AMERICAN COOT was seen on the Connecticut River in Hinsdale on May 29th.



2 ROSEATE TERNS were seen along the coast in Rye on May 28th, and 2 possible 
ARCTIC TERNS were seen in Hampton Harbor on May 24th.



A NORTHERN SHOVELER was reported from the Exeter Wastewater Treatment Plant 
on May 27th, and 1 was seen in Meadow Pond in Hampton on the 28th.



A CERULEAN WARBLER was seen in Durham on May 27th, and a MOURNING WARBLER 
was seen in Durham on May 29th.



A PHILADELPHIA VIREO, a BAY-BREASTED WARBLER, 18 CANADA WARBLERS, and 28 
SWAINSON’S THRUSHES were seen at Odiorne Point State Park in Rye on May 
25th.



Up to 5 BICKNELL’S THRUSHES were reported from the Rim Trail atop Cannon 
Mountain on May 29th, and 4 were reported from the Mount Washington Auto 
Road on the 27th.



2 RED CROSSBILLS were reported from Old Cherry Mountain Road, and 6 were 
seen on Mount Clinton Road in the White Mountains on May 24th.



8 GRASSHOPPER SPARROWS were reported from the Concord Airport on May 25th, 
and 11 were reported from the Cemetery Fields in Amherst on the 28th.



A SALTMARSH SPARROW was seen in Hampton Marsh on May 28th.



A few WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS were reported during the past week.
