This is a reminder that a birding trip organized by the Mascoma
Chapter of New Hampshire Audubon and to be led by George Clark is to
be held this coming Saturday October 8, 2011. Participants are to meet
to carpool and form a caravan at 8:00 AM in the parking lot of the
Dartmouth Printing Company (69 Lyme Road [= Route 10]), which is
located adjacent to the Richmond School in Hanover, NH. This birding
trip of about two hours is to head north with a stop at Wilson's
Landing and then onto scenic River Road in Hanover and northward along
the Connecticut River. All kinds of birds will be sought, but special
emphasis will be on the sparrows which are now on the move in the
Upper Valley. This program is free and open to the public. Children
accompanied by an adult are welcome. Walking will be on fairly level
ground for distances up to a half mile. Bring binoculars and scopes if
available.
