For the past few days, we've had a resident ("pet") turkey on our property in East Thetford. We see the bird, a male with a beard, once or twice a day, usually walking across our field, but sometimes right in our lawn.
We got a big surprise a few days ago, though, when a huge group of 25 turkeys crossed our field and went into the woods. The group contained several adults but was mostly poults. We haven't seen them since, though.
Other than that, not many birds around. Our resident House Wren is still singing occasionally, and we have a couple hummingbirds at our feeder.
