    This morning my wife and I heard a thump on our kitchen window and went 
outside to find a dead Philadelphia verio on our deck. It seemed a shame 
that such  toll was taken on a relatively uncommon species. On the positive 
side, there is nothing like having a bird in hand to make a positive ID.
