This ain't no bird...

was working in Lyme yesterday, and had great looks (even w/ binocs) of an
Eastern Comma,

a great looking "anglewing" butterfly. Medium sized with orange when open
and dark cameoflage when closed.

Sweet "comma" on closed hind wing. Strong flier.  Hibernate as adults.

Also a couple of Monarchs.
